Urban Splash makes quartet of buys

urban-splash-logoUrban Splash has bought four investment and development opportunities in the North West, including a residential site in Ellesmere Street, Manchester.

The site of the former Regiment Pub, which has planning for 44 apartments, has been bought alongside Phoenix Mill on Piercy Street in Ancoats, 97 Manchester Road in Altrincham and 36 Euston Road in Morecambe.

The collection of investment properties total 20,000 sq ft of space. They are occupied by tenants including charities, William Hill Bookmakers and independent retailers.

The sites have been acquired by Urban Splash on behalf of TBI 2000 Limited – one of its investment partners.

Urban Splash director Nathan Cornish said: “These purchases represent Urban Splash’s desire and ability to acquire development and investment properties.”

The Ellesmere Street residential scheme, in the Castlefield area of Manchester, was previously owned by Urban Splash before being sold to Crosby Homes in 2006. The firm re-acquired the scheme in an off-market deal that completed in just 10 days.

Shoosmiths represented the vendor while Eversheds represented Urban Splash.
