URW plans 520-bed PBSA on Westfield Stratford car park

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has submitted a planning application to turn car-parking space at Westfield Stratford City, E20, into a 520-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme. URW’s scheme, lodged with the London Legacy Development Corporation, would see a 14-storey extension built on top of Car Park C on Montfichet Road. The plans include student amenity space and a flexible community, sports and leisure use area. Of the 520 student beds, 35% will be affordable. They will be split in 78% cluster bedrooms and 22% self-contained studio accommodation.
