US computer electronics group invests £68m in Limavady in Co Londonderry, Northern Ireland

Seagate Technology, the US computer electronics group yesterday announced it is to invest £68m in Northern Ireland. The company is planning to move into a factory in Limavady, County Londonderry, which was previously occupied by Benelux, a troubled Hong Kong company which was forced to close its Ireland operation last week. Production will start in July next year. The venture is expected to create around 769 jobs.
