US REIT takes £40m Manchester office

New York-based WP Carey has bought Trinity Bridge House in Salford for £40m in a sale and leaseback with central government.

The 211,000 sq ft block on Dearmans Place is occupied on a 15-year triple-net lease by the Department for Communities and Local Government.

Around 2,000 employees from Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs occupy the building.
