The Universities Superannuation Scheme’s 350,000-sq ft industrial estate at Gunnels Wood, Stevenage, has found takers for 250,000 sq ft.
Flexitainers have taken 49,000 sq ft with F C Bennett Titan Converting and FWO Bench occupying 32,000 sq ft, 16,000 sq ft and 15,000 sq ft respectively. Joint letting agents Jones Lang Wootton, de Morgan & Co and Chancellors say all the rents have been close to the quoting terms of £3.40 per sq ft.
In addition, a 2,500-sq ft nursery unit has been let to Smith, Klein & French at £4.25 per sq ft.
This leaves two of the 16 small units originally available, plus two units of 15,000 sq ft each. The asking rent for the latter is £50,000 pa.
