The country’s housing stock rose in value by 7% this year, to a total of £8.17trn, figures from Zoopla showed.
That translates into a daily increase for the average property of £56.57.
Among the regions, the east of England recorded the largest increase, up 11.56%. Diss in Norfolk was the best performer on a town level, with growth of 16.2%.
