Nicholas van Hoogstraten has secured an adjournment until 10 May of his appeal against High Court orders involving a £5m claim by Mohammed Raja’s family.
The property tycoon was cleared on appeals last year of the manslaughter of his business rival after he was jailed in 2002.
He said his assets had been frozen and he could not instruct solicitors.
