Healthy demand for vegetarian and vegan dining has helped to boost sales at Loungers, the café-bar chain that floated this year.
The company behind Cosy Club and 122 Lounge outlets posted a 26 per cent jump in annual revenue to £153 million.
Nick Collins, chief executive, hailed a “strong performance” in the 12 months to April 21 — days before its arrival on the London market — as comparable sales climbed 7 per cent. Having opened 25 new sites during the period, it now has 146 across the country and plans to open a further 25 this year.
Loungers was founded in 2002 by Dave Reid, Alex Reilley and Jake Bishop.
