European logistics property specialist Verdion has hired former Macquarie Capital senior managing director Jonathan Harris.
Harris will join the board of the firm as non-executive director.
He has led more than £30bn of corporate and asset-level transactions, capital raising and financings across both private and public capital markets. He also co-found PLP (formerly Peel Logistics) in 2016 during his time as Macquarie Capital’s head of European real estate.
Michael Hughes, chief executive of Verdion, said: “Over the next year Verdion will increase focus on investment and asset management, alongside its strong development portfolio, and see a greater European reach – capitalising on a growing appetite for high quality logistics space in strategically important locations – and the exciting opportunities that the revolution in technologies and consumer trends will bring. Jonathan’s European and global experience will be of enormous benefit to the Verdion business as it continues this next stage of growth.”
