Victoria Mills resi plans in

Victoria Mills Development has submitted plans for 145 new flats in Manchester city centre across two new eight-storey residential blocks.

The firm wants to build out the second phase of its Milliners Wharf scheme off Pollard Street, near the city’s Northern Quarter. The plans also include a 3,500 sq ft shop.

Previous plans for 420 flats across three buildings on the site – including a 20-storey tower – had to be scaled back due to the recession as the developer admitted they were no longer viable.

Plans for 20,000 sq ft of office space on the site have also been removed from the new plans.

ArchitectsLeedsstudio drew up the plans and Red Property Services acted as planning consultant.
