Victoria’s Secret to open in Derbion centre

Derbion shopping centre has signed Victoria’s Secret to expand out of its current space in Next into its own individual store.

The retailer has signed 5,712 sq ft on a 10-year lease. It will be its first permanent store in Derby.

Victoria’s Secret’s arrival marks another achievement in a strong year for Derbion, which saw 89,789 sq ft of new openings, expansions and relocations in 2024.

Spanning 1.1m sq ft, the centre houses 200 tenants, including six anchor retailers such as Next, M&S and Sainsbury’s.

Cale Street Investments acquired a 50% stake in Derbion in 2019 from Intu and later acquired remaining 50% in 2020 following Intu’s administration.

Beth McDonald, managing director at Derbion, said: “Our goal is to ensure Derbion has a diverse retail, leisure and F&B mix as we look to maintain our place as the East Midland’s premier retail and leisure destination. The arrival of Victoria’s Secret is testament to our progressive leasing strategy which continues to attract and retain big-name brands helping us draw in shoppers from across the region.”

Derbion’s retained leasing agents are CBRE and FHP.
