Virgin Cinemas will anchor the £40m Fountainpark leisure scheme in Edinburgh city centre with a (60,000 sq ft) 13-screen multiplex.
Set for Summer opening next year, the scheme – developed by Scottish & Newcastle and THI – stands on the former Fountain Brewery site.
First Leisure will operate a health and fitness club, a nightclub and a Brannigan’s pub. Scottish & Newcastle is to run an educational imagery and simulation experience and three retail units, developed as pubs and restaurants.
Other leisure operations include a 26-lane bowling alley and a virtual reality games station.
Hillier Parker is advising Scottish & Newcastle and THI on planning and funding. It is joint-letting agent with Mason Owen.
