Virgin to spend £10m on new-look stores

Entertainment retailer Virgin Megastores will spend £10m on the installation of its new store design in five key stores by the end of this year.

Virgin Megastores’ latest new-look store opened last year in Milton Keynes. The retailer has now embarked on a refurbishment programme to bring other shops in line. Stores on London’s Oxford Street and In Newcastle, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester will be made over. A further 30 of Virgin’s older Megastores have been earmarked for the same treatment over the next two to three years.

Virgin will open a 1,395 sq m (15,016 sq ft) new Megastore at Camden in north London next month.
