Vistry has committed to only build net-zero-carbon homes by 2040 as it links top-tier pay to sustainability targets.
The housebuilder said that it would be “zero carbon ready” by 2025, rolling out homes with a 75-80% reduction in carbon emissions.
It plans for its homes to be net zero in use by 2030 and for construction to be net zero by 2040.
Vistry said that executive pay will in future be linked to measurable sustainability targets.
It said the details of its targets would be fleshed out in 2022.
