Vistry plans 200 homes for leafy Surrey

Vistry Group has bought a 41-acre plot for a £90m development in Surrey.

The FTSE 250-listed housebuilder has exchanged on the site in Ottershaw, with plans for between 180 to 200 homes, ranging from one and two bedroom flats to two to five-bedroom houses.

Just over 16 acres of the site will be developed as 56 Linden homes and 61 Bovis homes, with the remainder designated as affordable housing.

Vistry said that almost two-thirds of the development will be public green space, with more than 25 acres to include play areas, orchards and woodland walks.

Construction is expected to start in January 2023.

Keith Carnegie, chief executive at Vistry Housebuilding, said the “brilliant site in charming Surrey” would be improved by the green space created by the proposed development.
