Vistry predicts higher profits than Bovis

The housebuilder formerly known as Bovis Homes is expecting to report record annual profits.

Vistry is anticipating profits slightly ahead of a previous forecast of £186.1m after selling more home and benefitting from lower costs. It’s year end trading update said that the average selling price of its houses rose from £273,200 to £279,000, while home sales rose 3% to 3,867.

Bovis became Vistry earlier this month following its £1.1bn takeover of Galliford Try’s residential business. Vistry believes the deal will help it build 10,000 homes a year.

It will report full-year results on February 27.
