Vistry secures £19m deal for Midlands later living homes

Vistry Group inked a £19m deal with Anchor, a provider of housing for people in later life, to build affordable homes in Edwalton, East Midlands.

The development, built on brownfield land, will consist of 77 one- and two-bedroom flats, located to the south of Nottingham and the River Trent in an area of West Bridgford.

Work to build facilities with access to communal areas will start next month.

Andy Reynolds, managing director of Vistry, South East Midlands, said: “We’re leading the way in meeting the requirements of those needing this type of accommodation when housing is in such high demand.”

Victoria Mager, director of development delivery at Anchor, said: “The development at Edwalton will offer residents the opportunity to be part of an open, inviting, and warm community.”
