Vita Group Queensway PBSA set for approval

ES Suffolk Birmingham’s plans for the redevelopment of Gough Street, Birmingham, are set to be approved by Birmingham City Council in a planning meeting this week.

The 540-room student scheme will comprise two blocks of 10 storeys fronting Gough Street, and 29 storeys on Suffolk Street Queensway. It will include an outdoor courtyard, café, cycle storage, gym, games room and a bookable private dining area.

Vita Group, which runs a similar establishment at the former Pebble Mill Site in Edgbaston, will operate the site.

The 1.3-acre city centre site is currently vacant. It is composed of two parts – the former Birmingham United Services Club building and 126 Suffolk Street Queensway, a former print works.
