Vita seeks more input on Brum’s Goods Station
Vita Group has launched a second round of consultation on Birmingham’s Central Goods Station, a site next to the Mailbox.
The developer wants to create a sustainable mixed-used development on the land and launched its first round of consultation into its plans last summer.
Although details of the final designs are yet to be unveiled, the scheme will provide four buildings offering a mix of residential, offices, retail and leisure space.

The developer wants to create a sustainable mixed-used development on the land and launched its first round of consultation into its plans last summer.
Although details of the final designs are yet to be unveiled, the scheme will provide four buildings offering a mix of residential, offices, retail and leisure space.
Jon Weston, development director at Vita Group, said: “The aim is to create a vibrant and inclusive neighbourhood; a site which forges better connections with the city, creates a destination for everyone to enjoy with new routes as well as a welcoming public square, and importantly, places for people to live, stay and socialise.”
The four-acre site previously belonged to London and Continental Railways and was used as a railway depot in the 1920s. Plans were initially drawn up for an office-led development called Axis Square comprising at least four new buildings in 2016, but were eventually abandoned.
The consultation runs until 25 April.
