Vue Entertainment aims to add another 20 new cinema sites to the chain by the end of 2008.
Britain’s third-biggest cinema chain is expected to announce a £400m management buyout this week.
The company expects to complete a £25m leisure complex in Eastleigh, Hampshire in the spring of 2008.
Another chain, Cineworld, plans to use a £450m Stock Exchange listing next month to raise funds to build new cinemas at a rate of about three a year.
