CBRE has tempted central London lettings specialist and Knight Frank equity partner Chris Vydra back to the business.
EGi revealed on Wednesday that Vydra, who left CBRE in 2005 after a decade with the firm to join Knight Frank, would return to the world’s largest agent.
He will become an executive director at CBRE, working alongside head of City agency Dan Roberts and executive director Mark Slim.
The appointment follows the departures of London agency directors Digby Flower and Andrew Parker, who are both moving to Cushman & Wakefield, and City leasing agent Roger Lister, who is joining Land Securities.
Vydra is highly regarded in the central London agency world, having acted on several of the capital’s largest deals, including advising Oxford Properties on letting the 540,000 sq ft Watermark Place, EC4, to Nomura in 2009.
He is also advising on The Shard, SE1, 100 Bishopsgate and London Wall Place, both EC2.
Adam Hetherington, managing director of CBRE’s central London team, said: “I am pleased to welcome Chris to the central London business; he has a wealth of experience in the City and Canary Wharf markets and has been involved in some of London’s most significant leasing projects in recent years.
“We always aim to offer our clients the very best expertise and advice and the appointment of Chris is consistent with this.”
KF head of commercial, Alistair Elliott, said: “We are sorry that Chris is leaving and we wish him well. We have a strong client book which we are very proud of, and do not take for granted. Our teams will continue to work diligently to ensure the very highest standards are maintained. I have absolute confidence in the depth and breadth of our central London business.”
