Wace is spending £20m on what it believes will be Britain’s first design-to-production packaging plant. The plant, on a 4.86 ha (12-acre) site, will be created by merging its labelling plant in Leicester with a nearby carton plant acquired in November.
The company announced half-year pre-tax profits down from £10m to £4.2m.
