Wagamama plans to expand in London and open in Manchester next year

Wagamama, the Japanese noodle bar, is planning to open four more restaurants in London and one in central Manchester by the end of 1997. The restaurant chain currently has two operations in London.

A company spokeswoman explained that, following a £2.3m loan from the Foreign Colonial Bank, Wagamama is looking to open new outlets in Covent Garden, Islington, Camden, and on the Kings Road in Chelsea. It also wants to open a restaurant in central Manchester.

Anthony Green & Spencer is advising Wagamama.
