Wales is to end right-to-buy for council tenants, with legislation planned for within the next year.
In doing so, Wales will join Scotland which has already ended the scheme. In England, meanwhile, the government is planning to extend right-to-buy to housing association tenants.
The first minister of Wales, Carwyn Jones, said the move would aim to protect the country’s stock of social housing from being further reduced.
