Warrington council seeks partner for Cheshire leisure scheme

Warrington Borough Council is seeking a joint venture partner for its 196-acre Walton Hall Estate and Golf Course near Warrington in Cheshire.

The council is seeking offers for the redevelopment and operation of Walton Hall Estate and Golf Course by 17 July.

Proposals will be considered for the whole estate or for individual assets with enabling development considered if it secures the preservation of Walton Hall Estate and Golf Course.

The site includes a conference and function centre, gardens and parkland, 18-hole golf course and club house, a range of outbuildings with development potential and a zoo, play area and outdoor recreational facilities.

Ben Allen at HLL Humberts Leisure, said: “Warrington Borough Council is keen to promote a partnership approach to the future development and management of the estate.

“A joint venture, partnership, landlord and tenant relationship or similar structure will be considered, with proposals considered on their merits.”

HLL Humberts Leisure advises Warrington Borough Council.
