Waterstone’s plans to open a US-style book superstore in Glasgow next autumn. It will be the largest new book store in Britain for more than 50 years.
It will include a cafe and events arena and space for more than 150,000 books.
Waterstone’s will consider developing similar outlets in other large university towns if it succeeds.
