Watkin Jones adds former Landsec chief to board line-up

Build-to-rent developer Watkin Jones has appointed a former chief executive of Landsec as its latest non-executive director.

Francis Salway was chief executive of Landsec from 2004 until 2012, after which he was chair of Town & Country Housing Association. After the association’s merger with Peabody Housing Association in 2019, he was a non-executive director of the enlarged group until 2021. He is currently a non-executive director of Cadogan Group.

At Watkin Jones, Salway becomes a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees.

The company has also given an executive director seat on the board to chief investment officer Alex Pease, who has worked at the business since 2010 and helped to oversee its IPO in 2016.
