Countrywide has appointed David Watson a non-executive director of the company and chairman of the company’s audit and risk committee.
Watson’s new role took effect from 2 September.
He is currently a non-executive director of Charles Taylor, Kames Capital, Hermes Fund Managers and T R Property Investment Trust. He chairs the audit committees of Charles Taylor, Hermes Fund Managers Limited and T R Property Investment Trust.
Most recently Watson was finance director for the general insurance division of Aviva and prior to that he held various other senior financial roles at Aviva as well as Prudential Group and NatWest Markets.
Chairman Bob Davies said: “I am delighted to welcome David to the board of Countrywide. He brings a considerable amount of experience with him in particular in the areas of corporate governance, finance and accounting.”
