Waypoint appoints asset management director

Waypoint Asset Management has appointed Barry Hill as director of asset management, focusing on retail and mixed-use long income properties.

Before joining Waypoint, Hill was an associate director at Catella APAM, focusing on shopping centre asset management.

Hill previously trained as a chartered surveyor at NFU Mutual, before joining Aberdeen Property Investors in 2001 as an asset manager focusing on retail assets. He moved to Aviva Investors in 2009, managing retail warehouse and shopping centre funds before leading the UK asset management team in 2012.

At Waypoint, Hill will lead asset management for its essential stores and government income funds. He will focus on identifying and delivering value-add initiatives, including refurbishments and leasing, and implementing the company’s sustainability strategy.
