Six Nations fever hit Yorkshire-based developer Waystone this week as it started preparations to submit a planning application for a new £200m stadium in Leeds. The group will develop a new rugby stadium for the Castleford Tigers at its 355-acre development plot on the former colliery site in Glasshoughton, west Yorkshire. Alongside the stadium, Waystone is also submitting plans for a regional casino and hotel. Leisure use will take up 60% of the site, with the remaining 40% being developed for business use. Waystone hopes to submit its planning application to Wakefield metropolitan borough council early this summer.
