The Welsh Development Agency (WDA) is seeking a developer for a planned 100,000 sq ft scheme on the 10-acre former Hotpoint site at Llandudno Junction, North Wales.
The scheme, called The Point, borders land allocated for the Welsh Assembly’s new 60,000 sq ft North Wales regional representative office scheduled for completion in 2008.
Assembly Economic Development Minister Andrew Davies said, “The presence of the Assembly is expected to add to the interest in The Point and will further establish the town as a business location.”
Demolition and site remediation works which began in 2001 included the clearance of a 300,000 sq ft factory and a 55,000 sq ft machine shop.
A plot of 2.4 acres is also being marketed for a car showroom and service development, through agent Legat Owen.
