The retailer N Brown, whose brands include Jacamo, Simply Be and JD Williams, is to close all its shops in the latest blow to the high street.
The fashion retailer is consulting on shutting its 20-store portfolio, with the potential loss of 270 jobs, as it announced a small 0.4% uplift in group revenue during the first quarter yesterday. The closures include 12 dual-fascia Simply Be and Jacamo stores and eight High & Mighty outlets.
N Brown has been closing shops over the past few years as footfall on the high street has fallen and as part of a plan to transform the once catalogue-heavy business into a fast-paced internet retailer.
