Wellcome Trust appoints Ringley to South Kensington Estate

The Wellcome Trust has appointed Ringley Group as asset management and operational partner on the South Kensington Estate, which the charitable foundation purchased in 1995.

The estate is one of London’s oldest residential portfolios, dating to the 17th century. It comprises 2,800 homes, although Ringley will not be managing all of them owing to different ownership structures.

Ringley counts Patrizia, Europa Capital, Curlew and Gresham House as clients, managing an £8bn portfolio of more than 15,000 homes.

Ringley received We Invest in People Gold Accreditation earlier this year, and this people-centric focus played a major role in informing Wellcome’s choice of operational partner.

Mary-Anne Bowring, group managing director at Ringley Group, said: “High-quality operational management of assets helps the Wellcome Trust to focus on its core aim of supporting world-class health research.

“We are pleased Wellcome has put its faith in Ringley to take up the role, which is a further demonstration of our strong and ever-growing reputation amongst the industry’s largest institutions. The appointment also recognises Ringley’s market-leading offer to tenants and leaseholders, which is over 20 years in the making.”
