Former TBI director Paul Bailey has unveiled plans for a £75m retail and leisure centre five miles north east of Palma, Majorca.
Bailey, with PMH Properties chairman Tony Fletcher and Atlantic Properties chief Peter Thomas, has already won outline planning consent for the 65,030 sq m (700,000 sq ft) scheme, which is to be known as Park Es Mirall.
The company has signed up US cinema operator AMC for a 24-screen multiplex and it is understood to be close to agreeing a deal with UK retailer Marks & Spencer.
Bailey said he would consider building similar schemes in other Mediterranean holiday resorts in the future. “We believe there is a demand for something for families to do other than lie on the beach,” he added.
