A new shopping centre in LLanelli, Wales, could be named after the late Princess Diana following appeals from the public.
A name for the £30m centre, due to open in eight weeks time, has yet to be decided. But Jane McGiven, senior director of the scheme’s developer Redrow Commercial, said that naming it after the Princess “would seem appropriate.”
However, she stressed that the final decision rests with Sun Life Group, which will take possession of the centre once it is completed. The new name will be discussed today at a meeting between Redrow and Sun Life. “I will put the suggestion forward at the meeting,” said McGiven.
