Proposals by Hammerson and Westfield for a £1bn regeneration of Croydon town centre have been recommended for approval.
The jv’s retail-led overhaul of the has been recommended for approval ahead of a 25 November planning committee meeting.
Wider proposals include as many as 600 new homes and leisure facilities. In January, Hammerson and Westfield agreed to drop plans for rival schemes and create a jv to deliver a ?major retail destination.
Westfield bought ?a 50% interest in the £115m from Hammerson, with?the jv also buying a 25% stake in the ?Whitgift centre.
