Westfield has completed the structure and cladding for the first phase of its 1.1m sq ft office development at Stratford City in east London.

The 130,000 sq ft One Stratford Place will be available in September 2011.

The building offers 21,000 sq ft floor plates and sits at the heart of Westfield Stratford City which includes over 300 shops, three hotels and a 14 screen cinema.

It is located on the eastern entrance to the development adjacent to the new underground station and Stratford Regional Station.

John Burton, director of Westfield Stratford City, said: “The delivery of this high quality office space will help establish Stratford City as one of London’s leading commercial districts.”

Steve Johns at Cushman & Wakefield said: “The combination of world-class infrastructure, an exceptional mix of uses and Westfield’s ability to deliver quality office product to suit occupiers’ needs, will attract widespread interest in this location.”

Dan Roberts of CB Richard Ellis said: “As all the components of Westfield Stratford City begin to fuse together, it is apparent that this is coming of age as a major mixed use city centre scheme. Stratford City will be marked on the Central London map as an exciting new office location with exceptional connectivity.”

Cushman & Wakefield and CB Richard Ellis are the office leasing agents appointed by Westfield.

Designed in collaboration with Fletcher Priest, One Stratford Place will offer Grade A office space together with a further 20,000 sq ft designated for serviced offices and local start up business.

A further 1m sq ft of offices will be delivered post-Games.
