Westin poised to run new hotel in London’s Bloomsbury Square

Westin Hotels & Resorts is poised to run a new £125m luxuryhotel planned for Bloomsbury Square in central London.

It has come out top of a list of possible operators compiled byBlackfriars Investments, the property investment group headed by MaloryClifford. It is finalising plans to convert Victoria House, currently theheadquarters of the Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society, into a luxuryhotel.

Clifford purchased Victoria House in February for about £30m butdoes not take possession until Liverpool Victoria vacates early nextyear.
