Westminster city council approved a series of major developments this week, including the luxury 190-bedroom Peninsula Hotel at 1-5 Grosvenor Place, SW1 (pictured).

Northwood Investors secured consent for its redevelopment of 90 Long Acre, WC2, into two buildings, a 176,840 sq ft office and a block of 118 flats; LandSec’s Nova Place and Nova East schemes in Victoria, SW1, and Phones4U founder John Caudwell’s plans to build a mansion on a former parking lot in South Audley Street, W1, were also approved.

Gerald Eve advised Grosvenor, Northwood and LandSec on planning; DP9 acted for Caudwell.
