Weston-super-Mare hotel sold to Grand UK

 


Dauncey’s Hotel in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, has been sold to Grand UK Hotels, part of the UK Holiday Group.


 


The 73-bedroom hotel, which overlooks Weston Bay, Madeira Cove and Knightstone Island, occupies six houses of a grade II-Listed crescent.


 


The1860-built hotel has five floors with three self-contained, two-bedroom flats on the top floor and public areas with bars, restaurants, lounges, conference rooms, a games room and a treatment suite.


 


The Norwich-based UK Holiday Group trades as Grand UK Hotels, Grand UK Holidays, Sunrise Holidays and Just for Groups.


 


It currently owns nine hotels spread across the UK, with the Dauncey’s set to become its 10th. 


 


Jonathan Hill, director at Christie + Co, which advised Richard and Louise Morris, said: “Grand UK Hotels and its associated holiday brands will bring substantial business to the hotel and the entire resort. We wish them every success in this new venture.”
