JD Wetherspoon has pulled out of plans to open a pub in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex.
The 320-strong chain said the developer’s asking price for the site was too high.
Eamon Ryan, the site developer who heads up the Ryan Group, has applied to open his own alehouse.
