JD Wetherspoon is to begin work next month fitting out a unit at O2, the leisure and retail centre owned by O2 General Partners, and expects to open by the end of the summer.
The Wetherspoons pub will occupy the former Babe Ruth unit on Level 1 of the centre, which is located on Finchley Road in London.
A spokesperson for Wetherspoons said: “The Wetherspoons offer is well suited to the profile of the centre and were excited to be coming toO2. The centre’s intention to be a benchmark leisure and retail scheme has been consistent since it opened and we are delighted to become a part of the overall offer.”
O2’s existing bars and restaurants include Smollensky’s, Zuccato, Bar Circa, Pizza Hut, Old Orleans, Yo! Sushi, Nando’s, Ed’s Easy Diner and Noho2. The existing retail, which includes the largest Sainsburys in London and a Books etc outlet, will also be enhanced by a handful of kiosks soon to be constructed.
