Wework boss returns $5.9m paid to him for ‘We’ trademark

The founder and chief executive of The We Company has bowed to criticism and returned $5.9 million that the company paid him to use the “We” brand he created.
Under pressure from investors and corporate governance experts, The We Company, which bought the “We” naming rights in an unusual transaction in July this year, said that a holding company co-managed by Adam Neumann had returned the payment, which was made in shares.
