WeWork’s inexorable expansion is continuing apace as it unveils plans to open its first sites in Cambridge and Birmingham, its fourth and fifth cities in the UK.
The company, which is heading for an IPO likely to value it at tens of billions of dollars, has agreed to take three floors in a building near Cambridge’s railway station.
The site will have enough space for 1,000 tenants and will open in the third quarter of this year. A similar-sized site on Birmingham’s Colmore Row, opposite the city’s cathedral, is scheduled to open before Christmas.
