WeWork has agreed a deal to lease the entire 90,000 sq ft office building at 131 Finsbury Pavement, EC2.
Royal London Asset Management has signed WeWork on a 15-year lease at the building. The serviced office provider will undertake a refurbishment of the building before taking up occupation in the first half of 2018.
Royal London’s Keith Miller said: “This letting marks our first participation in the rapidly evolving co-working space and helps us further diversity our exposure to the property market.
WeWork’s Patrick Nelson said: “We’re delighted to complete the acquisition of Finsbury Pavement, which we believe will be a very successful location for us, and marks the 29th WeWork in the UK. With Crossrail approaching, we continue to look to establish a strong presence around major transport hubs which in turn is beneficial for our members”.
GM Real Estate and Knight Frank advised Royal London Asset Management.
