WeWork has completed its lease negotiations and restructuring in the UK and Ireland, leaving the co-working company with 39 sites.
The company spent the past nine months negotiating with landlords. According to its website, it now has 30 sites in London with the remainder in Cambridge, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester and Dublin.
“We are delighted to have finalised our portfolio optimisation in the UK and Ireland,” said Ben Samuels, chief revenue officer at WeWork.
“Our updated footprint is made up of our highest-quality and best-performing locations in the market. WeWork is better positioned to continue defining the future of flexible work, and we’re committed to investing in our spaces and services to deliver the signature experience our members expect well into the future.”
WeWork said last week that it now expects to exit Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection under new ownership by mid-June, having amended more than 170 office leases and exited 160 locations.
