WH Smith has bought a collection of Dixons’ former airport stores.
The deal is part of plans to expands its US InMotion tech and accessories business into the UK.
The group said yesterday that it had bought 18 shops, including 17 Dixons Travel stores, at sites including Heathrow, Stansted, Manchester, Luton, Birmingham and East Midlands, and forecast sales from InMotion at about £60m a year.
