What real people want from the future of work

More than 1,000 Financial Times readers have shared their views on the return to the office – with a mix of concern and hope.

Among the concerns were divisions, commutes and workloads, while camaraderie and collaboration were key among the positive reflections on a return to a corporate workplace.

There were clear gender splits too, with 73% of women expecting to spend 1-3 days in the office and 18% opting for 4 or 5 days in the office, compared with 63% and 28% respectively for their male counterparts.
