Founded by Edward Leslie and Charles Okin 38 years ago, Edward Charles & Partners is in the midst of succession planning, which will see the business spearheaded by partners Jamie Shuttle, Andrew Okin and recently joined partner Craig Norton.
The company is also expanding its reach beyond its West End base, taking on the leasing of proeprties from Battersea to Holborn and Camden, and adding to its roster of clients, which includes London-focused REITs Derwent London and Helical and landowners such as the Bedford Estates, Howard De Walden Estate and Soho Estates.
Deal highlights this year have included the full letting of 30 Broadwick Street, W1, on behalf of Great Portland Estates.
EG spoke with Craig Norton to discuss the changing of the guard at Edward Charles & Partners and its expansion into other areas of London, as well as the state of the London market and what the future may hold.
