Whiskey bar raises its glass in former Bill’s restaurant in Shoreditch

Odyssey, a whiskey-focused lounge bar and restaurant, has taken over a former Bill’s restaurant location for its London debut at 1 Hoxton Square, London, N16.

The lounge-bar has agreed to take on the Bill’s lease, which ends in 2033. Odyssey has secured two floors, including the basement and ground floor, totalling 3,690 sq ft.

Shelley Sandzer, which facilitated the letting deal, marketed the lease at a passing rent of £150,000 per annum.

Odyssey features more than 600 bourbons, making it the largest collection outside the US.

Nick Weir, joint managing partner at Shelley Sandzer, said: “Shoreditch’s standout night-time economy and its reputation as one of the trendiest parts of London make it the perfect place for Odyssey to kick-start its presence in the capital.”

Tony Vega, co-founder of Odyssey, said: “This has been a concept that we’ve talked about for many years now, and it’s great to finally see it come to fruition at 1 Hoxton Square. This location was a no-brainer for us.”
